Default Why back in my day....stories.

Yeah this is simular to the I remember when...but that post is 95% just listing things thats remembered, I'm curious to hear stories of how things were better/worse back when the game started.

To start it off I remembr back when there was no material traders, just crafters and some material you could trade for from collectors. Like for my second or what ever ranger armour I remember sitting outside one of the first outposts past the wall in postsearing and farming there with my nightstalker the various charr for days collecting their carvings so that I could trade 4 or so to get fur/leather or what ever it was that I needed to make my armour.

Why back in my day, Shadow Prison didnt exist. I'd have to kill millions of beasts over 4 climates and then kill my clone before I got spiritual enlightenment. Back in my day men played AB more than themselves. Back in my day there were no such thing's as paragon and Mesmer hero's, we just had good ol' fashioned Gwen Conspiracy theories.

oh my back.....someone get my cane.

Back in my day, having a team that pressed "T" was the key to victory. The secret to Monking lay in getting Healing Seed on the enemy's alpha target. Healing Seed was 15 energy, and it took 2 seconds to cast. I carried Grasping Earth on my bar to get away from enemy warriors back when it gave them +24 armor.

Char Hides used to cost 1k....until they implemented the collector. I used to farm char all the time back then, I would salvage their hide for a 1 in 4 chance of making 1k

Back in the day when the game actually kicked arse...Now it's a 50% version of itself.

Want some advice piss off all the crap that's been developed over the last year. Revert ectoes to 10k and make black dye expensive again. Sup Vigor needs to be what it used to be. 32k. And to top it off. Loot scaling neeeds to BE NERFED! Bring back the good old SOLO'in days! FTW!

Back in my day, 15 Protection Prayers was actually better than 14. The secret to shutting down enemy Warriors was following them around with Guardian. Guru didn't exist, and I got flamed on forums for suggesting that Divine Boon and Protection Prayers were a good combination.

Back in my day, Air spike could solo-spike you in 3 casts. You could tell what type of armor your target was wearing by the look of it. Gale was mostly used by midline characters to stop the Ghostly Hero from capping an altar and to use it on a Warrior was considered stupidity.

Loot scaling barely did anything dude.

I'd Flame you, but the mods scare me *hugs blanket*

Black Dye isn't AS expensive anymore due to the economy, Greater SUpply and so forth and such and purple dinosaurs.

You just want a game where the rich are rich and the Poor are poor.

You want Kaining to be the Ghetto

WELL IM NOT GOING BACK TO THE GHETTO

IM GOING TO THE PROMISED LAND

Bruce Lee told me
LET MY PEOPLE GO!!!
